Sealy Hambright, PhD
Dr. Sealy Hambright consults with both providers and patients at No Limits Medical on ways to improve longevity. He received his B.S. in Biology from the University of Texas at Tyler. He then completed his M.S. in Microbiology at the University of Texas at Arlington prior to completing his PhD training in the Biology of Aging Training Program at UTHealth San Antonio at the Barshop Institute for Longevity and Aging Studies. Following his PhD training, he joined the laboratory of Johnny Huard at UTHealth Houston in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery as a Consortium on Aging supported fellow. His research focus was on the biology of stem cells related to aging and how to improve efficacy of stem cell therapeutics in older populations.
Dr. Hambright is also a former Principal Investigator and Program Director for Healthy Aging Diagnostics at the Steadman Philippon Research Institute (SPRI) at the Steadman Clinic in Vail Colorado. The Steadman Clinic & SPRI are collectively a world renown Sports Medicine orthopedic surgical center and research facility. His focus was to develop strategies that target fundamental properties of aging including senescent (aged) cell accumulation, telomere erosion, and inflammation in an effort to improve orthoregenerative medicine therapies. He coordinated basic science projects and helped design and initiate clinical studies targeting age-related conditions such as osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, and delayed fracture repair using cutting edge biologics, stem cell-based interventions, and specialized preclinical animal models. As a Program Director at SPRI, he alsodesigned or co-designed multiple clinical studies using senolytic drugs to improve functional orthopedic outcomes. This includes several NIH/DoD sponsored interventional trials using senolytics to improve orthobiologic therapy in the setting of OA and femoroacetabular impingement/labral tears (NCT03675724, NCT04210986, NCT04815902, NCT04205656). Collectively, these trials contain diverse outcome measures that encompass functional performance, patient reported pain and mobility, advanced MRI analysis, and measurement of biomarkers from various biospecimens.
Currently, Dr. Hambright is currently consulting for patients at No Limits Medical and Base State Longevity. He also owns and operates Hambright Consulting LLC where he works with diverse clients in both biotech and academia. He is also the Scientific Director and co-founder of Base State Longevity (Aspen, CO) and co-founded TriCelX Bio, a startup orthobiologics clinic in Dallas TX.
